Pirates Of The Caribbean
I just recently had a Pirates Of The Caribbean marathon due to a annoying cold.
So whilst sneezing, coughing and generally feeling sorry for myself, I managed to see all four films in a row.
My conclusion is that sometimes they are fun and sometimes just...numbing.

The Curse Of The Black Pearl introduced us to (what would be a consistent feature in the film series) a awesome setting of pirates, commanders, ghostly ships and wonderful atmospheric vistas.
The humor in this film was more happy-go-lucky than the rest of the films. Somehow the series lost its charm down the road and became too gloomy.
The fourth film "On Stranger Tides" managed to regain some of the humor in the first film.
Don't get me wrong though, I like all the films, but I think it was a mistake to see all of them at once.
The gloomy parts made my brain numb after a few hours.
In a few years I'll watch them again with a more spaced schedule.
