Movies The Losers The film is based on the modern comic version of the team (as seen published by DC Vertigo).
An explosive tale of double cross and revenge, "The Losers" centers upon the members of an elite U.S. Special Forces unit sent into the Bolivian jungle on a search and destroy mission. MMO Games Entering Fallen Earth I have recently left the MMO game, Aion, which was great fun if a bit on the grindy side (and less flying than the hype promised). Aion is a beautiful game which will soon be upgraded yet again to look even more beautiful.
But...
Too grindy and the system yet again a itsy bit too similar Wow, and I am dead tired of fantasy right now.
So...
I found my self trying the 10 day free trial of Fallen Earth, the game set in a post apocalyptic world much like the Mad Max films (or a close approximation of what a Fallout MMO could look like).
It's fresh, he setting is atmospheric, and the economy isn't illogical. You can ride anything from horses to beach-buggies.
And the character creator gives you enough to not look like a clone.
As of today Fallen Earth will be the MMO I'm focusing on.
You are all welcome to join me.
My character name in the game is Rist. | | | | Posted at 2010-01-28 00:23:00 | Posted by T5 |
SWTOR Sith Onslaught A new holorecord in the Jedi Archive tells the story of the Sith Empire’s surprise attack at the start of the Great War over 28 years before the Sacking of Coruscant. Master Gnost-Dural notes the brilliance of the Imperial military’s carefully orchestrated assault which put the Republic at a disadvantage for the duration of the conflict.
BTC 28 – Centuries after being driven into exile, the Sith Empire returned from deep space to launch the most calculated military assault in Republic history. Strategically revealing its attack in a menacing manner, the Sith struck fear into the hearts of the Republic’s defenders even while orchestrating surprise attacks at carefully targeted locations across the galaxy. When the Republic fleet rushed to respond, they discovered the Sith had established puppet governments on several planets in the Outer Rim. Surrounded by enemies and traitors, the Republic fleet was forced to scatter, allowing the Sith Empire to sweep through most of the Outer Rim without further challenge. The Empire’s initial victories put the Republic at a disadvantage for the duration of the Great War.
Watch the sixth Timeline holorecord, Onslaught of the Sith Empire, narrated by actor Lance Henriksen.

Comics Legion Of Super-Heroes From newsarama, by Lucas Siegel
After announcing a few months ago that Paul Levitz would be taking over Adventure Comics, with the lead story becoming the tales of the Legion of Super-heroes, DC this morning announced they'd be changing their plans slightly. Levitz will still be writing Adventure Comics, and he'll still be writing Legion of Super-heroes, but he'll be doing it in two books.
In Spring 2010, Legion of Super-heroes #1 will launch, written by Paul Levitz and drawn by Yildiray Cinar (Click through the gallery for his first sketches for the book). In his first interview on the launch with our friends at io9, Levitz says he's "thrilled beyond words" at the prospect of picking back up with the team that made both heroes of a far-flung future, and the name Paul Levitz, household names.
The former President and Publisher of DC goes on to describe his new series as picking up an undisclosed time after Geoff Johns' stories wth the Legion in Legion of 3 Worlds, the Superman family of books, and the Adventure second feature.
In the aforementioned interview, Levitz notes that Legion will begin in May, with Adventure following in June. His first Adventure Comics arc will be called "Superboy and the Legion of Super-heroes: Secret Origin," and will update Clark Kent's initial adventures with the Legion, based on the most recent origin-refresh seen in Geoff Johns' Superman: Secret Origin mini-series.
